ASW Safety demo & Octo

It rose about 10 meters, transitioned to a disarmed state, and then flew in a triangle pattern according to the specified location. It maintained stable flight without any shaking even in the strong winds, and finally returned safely to its original location. It was a safe and reliable flight.

Nippon Kayaku Emergency Parachute System

He rose to 30 meters, opened his parachute in case of an emergency, and slowly descended to the ground. The parachute used was not a special one, but a standard one that anyone can use.

Randy & Tridge AM32 ESCs

We conducted the first test flight with the AM32 ESCs with doubled dead time. We were having some noise issues and made some adjustments, and the tuning was likely to cause flight instability. Although there was some noise at first, the drone rose about 10m, accelerated, circled three times, and landed safely.

Andy Piper Fast Loop Rate

Andy demonstrated an acrobatic flight of a drone at Kutani Dam, which was announced as one of the drone special zones in Kaga City. The audience was very excited by the acrobatic flight video projected on a large monitor. After the video stopped, an automatic return in RTL mode was also demonstrated. He also mentioned that the strengthening of ArduPilot’s acro mode may attract Betaflight users to switch over.

Komiya&Kawamura Ship landing & Engine VTOL

The ship landing demo used RtoS’s SPARK rover as an anchor, and Kukai’s FUSION followed the moving rover (assuming a moving ship) and landed 5m behind it, demonstrating that the VTOL can take off and land from a moving object. Kukai’s first engine-equipped VTOL prototype rotates the propellers with a horizontally opposed engine (4-stroke), which is very fuel-efficient and can fly for about 90 minutes on one liter, enabling it to travel more than 300km.

EAMS Robotics Delivery

The drone quietly took off from the ground, rose to a height of about 5 meters, and attached supplies to a hook attached to the end of a hanging string. It then carefully moved through the air due to the strong winds. When the supplies were gently lowered to the ground, the hook naturally detached from the load and the string was pulled up. This mechanism enables the quick and safe delivery of disaster supplies to remote areas.

Randy & Leonard Hall Fast rovers

This car-like drone traveled around a map set in the shape of a ginkgo tree at 15 m/s and returned to its original position. On its second run, it attempted to increase its speed even further, widening the intervals between mapping points and returning gracefully at a speed of over 21 m/s. It was sturdy enough to withstand the impact of a fall, demonstrating stable performance.

Raphael Pirker High-Speed Acrobatic FPV Drone Piloting

He dazzled the participants with his highly challenging acrobatic maneuvers, including a Madman Flip, in which he cuts the power completely after a steep ascent, allows the plane to free fall and rotate in a random direction before regaining control.
